Data Retention

Effective September 4, 2026

Data Retention

When account data is kept, exported, and permanently removed.

Active accounts

Account records and saved workspace content remain while the account is active. Subscription cancellation alone does not delete content. Customers can export or close the account from Settings.

Closed accounts

Closing an account immediately invalidates its sessions and starts a fourteen-day deletion queue. During that window, support may be able to stop an accidental closure after verifying the account. At the end of the window, active databases and stored reference files are purged and the registry record is anonymized.

Backups

Encrypted platform snapshots use a rolling retention schedule. Data purged from the active service may remain inside an older backup until that complete snapshot expires. Restores must reapply the deletion ledger before restored customer data can return to service.

Billing and legal records

Limited transaction identifiers, invoices held by the payment provider, refund records, and records required for fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, or law may be retained longer than workspace content.
